Intelligence Management Planning brings together stakeholders in the client’s team to develop an effective intelligence management plan for implementation against the tenets of the established intelligence strategy.

The plan will ensure that effective balance and attention is paid to the internal generation and sourcing of intelligence from the field as well as the external sourcing and acquisition of intelligence.

The plan also re-establishes procedures for the effective gathering and management of intelligence within the company and should also encompass the appropriate mechanisms for enabling the appropriate access, sharing and developing of intelligence.

The plan sets out schedules, tasks, and milestones for developing & managing the organisations intelligence asset base over a 12-month period, with assigned roles & responsibilities, budgets and priorities for source acquisition.

The core planning objectives are to:

  1. Incorporate stakeholder needs and requests for Intelligence into a coherent sourcing plan
  2. Ensure the optimum allocation of resources to acquire and gather intelligence
  3. Monitor the access and utilisation of sources.
  4. Monitor the availability of intelligence sources and the timely acquisition of fresh intelligence as it becomes available
  5. Ensure the effective organisation of sources and intelligence in the ‘intelligence library’ through a single point of access
  6. Manage and apply the necessary human resources and technological tools to generate actionable intelligence for the organisation’s decision-makers
